Google API Services — Limited Use Disclosure

Compliance Statement

BarbeloAI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What this means in practice

When you connect a Google account to BarbeloAI, including Google Calendar, Google Sheets, Google Docs, or Google Drive, the data we read from those Google APIs is used only to provide the user-facing feature you enabled. For example, this may include showing your real-time calendar availability to a booking visitor, populating a catalog from a linked spreadsheet, or using a Google Doc as the system prompt or knowledge source for your AI agent.

We do not:

Use Google User Data to train, fine-tune, or evaluate generalized AI or machine learning models.
Sell Google User Data.
Transfer Google User Data to third parties for advertising or unrelated purposes.
Allow humans to read Google User Data, except:
- with your explicit consent for specific support or troubleshooting;
- when required for security investigations or to comply with applicable law;
- when the data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.

AI Providers

BarbeloAI supports several AI providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini and DeepSeek. You choose the provider for each agent and connect your own API key.

Some third-party AI providers may reserve the right to use submitted content to train their models. Before you use a Google feature with an agent, check the terms of the provider you selected and choose one whose API terms prohibit training on submitted content.

BarbeloAI does not send Google User Data to any AI provider you did not select for that agent.
We do not use Google User Data, or let any provider we choose use it, to train models. Providers you connect with your own API key are governed by your agreement with them.
Google User Data is sent to an AI provider only when an agent you configured uses a Google feature you enabled.

Scopes We Request

openid, email, profile — to confirm and show which Google account is connected.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file — to access only the Google Docs and Google Sheets files you choose or that BarbeloAI creates for you.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.metadata.readonly — to list the names of your Google Docs and Google Sheets files so you can choose which ones to connect.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/documents — to read and write the Google Docs you choose, for example a document used as an agent's instructions or knowledge.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets — to read selected product catalogs and data sources, and to write conversation or contact data to spreadsheets you select.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly — to list your calendars and check availability for Calendar Booking.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events — to create, move and cancel appointments booked through Calendar Booking.

Data Retention & Deletion

OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest.

You can revoke BarbeloAI's access at any time from your account settings using the disconnect button, or directly from your Google Account permissions page.

Disconnecting asks Google to revoke our access and deletes our stored connection immediately, which stops all further reads from your Google account. BarbeloAI does not keep a separate cache of data it reads from Google. Content already placed in your BarbeloAI workspace, such as a message in an inbox conversation, stays there until you delete it.
